Brother’s Brother Foundation Responds to Hurricane Matthew in the United States and Haiti

BBF will be working with Gleaning For The World (GFTW) in the aftermath of the effects of Hurricane Matthew in the United States. GFTW, with the help of BBF, has delivered /will deliver five tractor trailer loads of cleaning supplies and bottled water to nonprofit based distribution sites in Fayetteville, NC, Charleston, SC and Jacksonville, FL.

On October 19th, BBF, working with Hospital Albert Schweitzer Haiti via its administrative office in Pittsburgh, PA, sent an ocean-going container of requested donated exam gloves, masks and other supplies to help residents of Haiti in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. These medical supplies are needed to treat patients with Cholera and other waterborne diseases. BBF also sent an air shipment of three pallets of requested medical supplies via the Medical Benevolence Foundation on October 17th.

BBF is sending two medical ocean-going containers on Friday with Food For The Poor located in Florida and other relief agencies to provide aid in response to Hurricane Matthew. BBF has also supported eight hand-carry medical teams to Haiti since October 1st. BBF annually provides pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to Haiti for use by well over 100 hospitals, clinics and medical teams.
