Brother’s Brother Foundation is working with Global Smile Foundation to send pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in response to the recent 7.8-scale earthquake that recently struck Ecuador. Hundreds have perished and damage is widespread. BBF has a number of on-going efforts in Ecuador including short-term support with medicines and medical supplies for several emergency medical teams based in the United States.
This history includes work developing relationships with the Ecuadorian community in Pittsburgh and the National Capital Area. These partners include Ecuadent (Cockeysville, MD) out of the BBF NCA office and Global Smile, who BBF helped with donations of supplies for their mission trip to Guayaquil, Ecuador as recently as March of 2016. BBF helped Ecuadent send ocean-container shipments as well as supplies for their recent trip to Emmeraldas, Ecuador, located a few miles from the earthquake epicenter.
