"Connecting People's Resources with People's Needs" Site Updated: 5/21/2013
Used Book Policy

NOTICE:
Due to larger than usual offers from our corporate medical, humanitarian and education partners, we are suspending donations of books into our warehouse until after the first of next year.  We hope by then to have space issues resolved so that we will again be able to accept the much appreciated donations of your used books into our warehouse.  Many thanks for your interest in our education donation program.

Carol Taylor
BBF Educational Program Coordinator

While we prefer to deal directly with dealers and distributors for new products in this area, we appreciate donations of books and educational materials that we receive from both groups and individuals, provided they are pre-approved. For used books to be considered, they must be in excellent condition (not written in, no pages missing, back and front cover attached, and no broken spines) have copyright dates less than 10 years old and on subjects not obtained through donations from publishers . If the used books meet these basic standards, BBF will then need to see an inventory list of the books before a final decision will be made. If BBF accepts the books they must be brought to BBF's warehouse or boxed and sent at the donor's expense .

Donations BBF Accepts:

•  Used books in excellent condition (not written in, no pages missing, back and front cover attached, and no broken spines)

Books with copyright dates less than 10 years old

Donations BBF Is Unable to Accept:

•  No books published more than 10 years ago

•  No journals or magazines

•  No National Geographic magazines

No current non-fiction (novels)

If you have any questions concerning the used book policy, please feel free to contact BBF so that we can discuss them.
