November 15, 2013

Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) continues working with the Philippine American Medical Society of Western Pennsylvania (PAMS of WP) to provide short term and long term assistance in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda which devastated parts of the central Philippines. BBF’s pharmaceutical donors have made additional medications available as a contribution to BBF’s Philippine disaster relief efforts. BBF anticipates shipping these donations of much-needed antibiotics, antihypertensives and other medications to partners on the ground in the affected areas in the Philippines.

On Tuesday, November 12th, BBF shipped 974 bottles of antibiotics and other medications to Hospitals for Humanity, which is sending their emergency response team comprised of 15 doctors to the Philippines on November 16th. The Hospitals for Humanity team is traveling to Cebu and plans to send a mission to the Philippines once a month until the situation improves.
