Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) and the Philippine American Medical Society of Western PA (PAMS) are sending a 40 foot container of medical supplies and equipment for Urdaneta District Hospital in Pangasinan, Philippines. The container will load at 9:30 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at BBF’s Northside warehouse.
BBF continues to work with PAMS of W. PA to provide short term and long term assistance in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda which devastated parts of the central Philippines. BBF has received offers of over 200,000 bottles of antibiotics and malarial and other medications, as well as emergency supplies for the 10,000,000 people affected by disaster.
On Tuesday, November 12th, BBF shipped 974 bottles of antibiotics and other medications to Hospitals for Humanity, which is sending their emergency response team comprised of 15 doctors to the Philippines on November 16th. The Hospitals for Humanity team is traveling to Cebu and plans to send a mission to the Philippines once a month until the situation improves.
