BROTHER’S BROTHER FOUNDATION WITH GLEANING FOR THE WORLD RESPONDING TO THE AFTERMATH OF RECENT FLOODS IN THE EASTERN U.S.
Brother's Brother Foundation working with Gleaning For the World and other partner organizations are responding to requests for help in the aftermath of floods in the Eastern U.S. Gleaning For the World in Lynchburg, Virginia will serve as a local charity distributor of Brother’s Brother Foundation resources to assist those affected. Gleaning For the World provides food, humanitarian supplies and other items to those in need around the world. Currently, Gleaning For the World is shipping requested supplies including bottled water, disaster blankets, cleaning products and baby food to those in need in Bloomsburg and Harrisburg, PA. BBF is assisting with the costs of shipping requested supplies to flood damaged regions in the Eastern United States including Pennsylvania. Within the last week BBF and Gleaning for the World have sent 10 tractor trailer loads of requested supplies, helping flood victims in Virginia, New York and Pennsylvania.
BBF, a 54-year old Pittsburgh-based international charity, has provided over $4 billion of medical supplies, textbooks, food, seeds, and other humanitarian supplies to people around the world in over 140 countries. With the help of gifts from the general public, corporations and the US government, in the first six months of 2011 BBF sent product contributions to those in need in 54 countries. In the same period of 2011, BBF furnished supplies for 142 medical and humanitarian hand-carry mission trips.

Brother Foundation tied for first as the most efficient charities in its online ranking of the 200 largest U.S. charities. This list rates charities on how efficiently they collect and distribute
donations.
Brother's Brother Foundation received 100 % or higher rating in charitable commitment, donor dependency
and fundraising efficiency.
