BROTHER'S BROTHER FOUNDATION NOTED IN FORBES MAGAZINE, CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF SERVICE

Forbes Magazine in the December 2008 Investment Guide noted Brother's Brother Foundation (BBF) as one of the four most efficient charities in their Charity 200 listing. BBF was noted as having a 100% rating for both fundraising efficiency and charitable commitment. The issue lists 200 charities, rating them on how efficiently they collect or distribute donations.

Additional information can be found at www.forbes.com's philanthropy section. Look for the Charity 200 listing.

On Monday, November 24, 2008 BBF is celebrating 50 years of service to the international community at the Senator John Heinz History Center. BBF Founder Dr. Robert A. Hingson and the jet injector inoculation system that he invented are highlighted in the History Center's Innovators of Western Pennsylvania exhibit. The celebration will include a dinner (by invitation only) and program illustrating each ten-year period in BBF's history.

BBF, a 56-year old Pittsburgh-based international charity, has provided over
$4 billion of medical supplies, textbooks, food, seeds, and other humanitarian supplies to people around the world in over 140 countries.  With the help of gifts from the general public, corporations and foundations, in 2013 BBF sent product contributions to those in need in 64 countries including Burundi, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Liberia, Nicaragua, Philippines, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka and Zambia.  These shipments were the equivalent of 252 tractor trailer loads.  Also in 2013, BBF provided supplies for 321 medical and humanitarian
hand-carry mission trips.

Forbes Magazine highlighted BBF as one of only three charities with a 100% rating for both fundraising efficiency and charitable commitment, November 2013. The Better Business Bureau continues to give BBF its “Wise Giving Alliance Standards” seal of approval.
